Western Standard Metals Ltd. is a Canadian based company, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, with a focus on acquisition, exploration and development of gold properties in North America. Western Standard recently acquired a 100% interest in the Almaden Gold Project in Idaho. Western Standard has also optioned the right to acquire a 50% interest in each of the Golden Summit and the Vinasale Gold Projects in Alaska.
- Almaden: 948,000 ounce gold resource (NI43-101 compliant) at surface that is amenable to open pit mining and heap leach processing. Excellent potential to identify high grade 'Bonanza' mineralization with deeper drilling.
- Golden Summit: large gold system 8km north of Fort Knox (7.5Mo) and 3km east of True North mine (2Mo), both of which are owned by Kinross. Potential for bulk mineable deposit.
- Vinasale: intrusion related gold system with historic resource of 920,000 ounces (non NI43-101 compliant estimate). Potential for bulk mineable deposit.
